From the car park in Noveledo, a five-minute walk through the centre of the picturesque Borgo Noveledo leads to the wrought-iron gate at the edge of a chestnut forest. Here opens a Mediterranean garden with a swimming pool and breathtaking views over Lake Maggiore (almost) to the Mediterranean Sea.\u00a0<\/p>\n
In recent years Casa Araucaria has also been rented out as a holiday home. Some guests have told us that the tranquillity here is simply unique. What more could one wish for?<\/p>\n
The southern exposure also has many merits. The sun enters the bedroom and the living room from the early hours of the morning. Birds chirp among the camellias, azaleas, oleanders and rhododendrons and bats buzz around the palms and cypresses in the evening.<\/p>\n
We are not talking about a luxury villa. At times, Casa Araucaria is still reminiscent of the first holiday boom in Ticino, when our ancestors drove along the cobblestones of the Gotthard in an Opel Ascona. But after an extension to the house (1982) and a renovation (2010), here you find all the wellbeing you could wish for. A harmonious mix of old family furniture, period objects and designer furniture creates an atmosphere in which guests immediately feel at home.\u00a0<\/p>\n
There are also two terraces: one sheltered from the rain right at the entrance to the house and a very sunny one amidst palm trees and cacti right in front of the living room, as well as several barbecue areas.\u00a0<\/p>\n
On long winter evenings, a Ticino fireplace invites you to have tasty chestnuts.\u00a0<\/p>\n
As you can see, Casa Araucaria is a holiday home for both summer and winter. The owners have always devoted body and soul to taking the best possible care of the house and garden.\u00a0<\/p>\n
